Kowa, Inc. can provide services with regard to sales, joint ventures, technical assistance agreements, procurement and supply, international strategic overview of new business opportunities and assistance to exhibit at the JSAE (Japanese Society of Engineers) show in Japan in May 2010.
The normal retainer fee for the above mentioned services generally cost USD $5,000 - $7,000 per month. What Kowa are proposing is starting a group of Southwestern Ontario manufacturing companies to work together and share the costs and service of this type of representation at high levels with the Japanese auto companies. The cost to each company in the group would be USD $350 per month, for a minimum of 12 months. They are looking for a minimum of 14 companies and maximum of 20 companies to participate in this project.
Kowa will also provide:
- Attendance at meetings in Japan with Japanese OEMs and suppliers
- Engineering services for meetings requested by their clients or by Canadian Auto Suppliers (CAS)
- Communication services in both languages (Japanese/English) for both Japanese companies and CAS
- Introduction of CAS products and services to Japanese OEMs and other suers
- Support in Japan to CAS sales staff to encourage Japanese decision makers to view CAS capabilities favourably
- Tokyo office set up if required
At this meeting, Kowa will give an overview presentation of the Japanese market and their services, and how they can help SWO manufacturers break into, or delve more deeply into the Japanese automotive supply chain. Kowa has suggested that they will feature quarterly workshops for the group members to ensure that the group is ready to pursue these business opportunities, and to attend JSAE in May of 2010.
